Elizabeth started studying the oboe at age fourteen. After completing her BMus(hons) at Stellenbosch University, South Africa she obtained a postgraduate diploma from the Royal Northern College of Music, England.
Since her concerto debut with the Cape Philharmonic in 2001, she has performed with orchestras in South Africa, Namibia, England, Wales and Japan; sharing stages with distinguished artists such as Philippe Grafin, Olga Kern and jazz legend Abdullah Ibrahim. Most recently she appeared as soloist with the West Yorkshire Symphony Orchestra, performing Mozart's Oboe Concerto in Leeds.
Elizabeth holds Performers Licentiates with distinction on both oboe and cor anglais and was awarded her masters degree in musicology in March 2009.
